 Cynthia Roode was a member of the international Doll Artisan Guild for many years. She was awarded multiple blue ribbons for her entries in the Guild's competitions on porcelain doll making. In addition, she also received two 'rosette' awards. This award is given to the best doll in each category of entry. The rosettes were given to her dolls in the antique baby doll and french fashion doll categories. Cynthia is skilled in a variety of crafts, including embroidery, sewing, china painting and beading. "I just love working with my hands. Studying photographs of antique fashion doll accessories inspires me to fabricate small items scaled for fashion dolls. I am intrigued by all the little items that accompany the old dolls, for they seem to tell a story about the doll's life and adventures. The items add a dimension of imagination and play that the doll alone does not convey. I hope you enjoy the accessories too!"
