It is in lovely condition and an old metal setting which has tarnished a bit, giving it a warm patina. The oval mother of pearl shell flashes iridescent colors of pink, turquoise,and green, when turned in the light. This would work for a 16" doll.The oval shape measures 2~1/8" across. With the chain, it hangs 2~1/2". Opens and closes well. One teeny divot in the shell on one side.
