SEO178: W German Egg   This charming papier mache paper covered Easter egg is marked Made in German Democratic Republic (1949-1990). I purchased this in 1982. Please view all my photos. The paper exterior, as well as the interior, is in good condition with light wear. Some of the paper trim along the outside edge of the egg is starting to separate from egg in a couple of places. Charming image of ducks and chicks with a banjo plucking frog and a rooster. The measurement of the egg (wrapping all the way around the north/south portion of egg) measures approximately 12~1/2" around. The egg halves do NOT seat in each other. The one balances on top of the bottom half, but I cannot get the top to close down into the bottom half, creating a "seal". This is not an issue if displayed in a basket, as we have shown with one of our photos. Please note, the sale is for the one egg pictured, not the entire group of eggs and wicker basket.
