SEO226: Violets and Chick   This charming lavender colored papier mache Easter egg candy container is unmarked , but German in quality. It features a baby chick flapping its wings on both sides of the egg. The chick is hidden in a bouquet of plum colored violets, with some grassy portions to the image. Original paper covered interior with original paper lace on one of the halves. It contains an original mound of "grass". I'm not sure if it is excelsior or something else, but the strands are very fine. There is some overall aging to the egg, some very minor yellowing to the zig zag paper lace trim around each half. I would say very lovely condition. Please view all my photos. Approximately 7.5" from nose to back. The circumference around the egg is 15 inches at the longest part of the egg.
