This is an exquisite 19th century lithographed dance card. The original slender pencil is intact with the original hanging cord. Unusual scalloped edge. The cover image is lovely with vivid colors and features a charming young couple. The ball is called Masken Ball. I believe this is a German dance card. It is dated 29th of February 1876. As you thumb through the pages, there is an itinerary with specific dances and a page where gentlemen can reserve specific dances. The numbering system starts at 8, put I cannot see any evidence of missing pages. Please view each photo as I have photographed each page of the booklet, in addition to the back and the pencil. This measures 4~1/4" X 2~3/4". A beautiful piece of history in remarkable condition.
