VC6041SO: Outstanding Valentine   This outstanding antique German valentine is in wonderful condition and still retains its very vivid colors and fabulous pink honeycomb tissue accent. The condition is just remarkable, and the extra large size makes it a stunning exhibit at Valentine's Day. The valentine measures approximately 12" wide and 9.5" tall. It features all the lovely images we love to see on these early holiday items...blue forget me nots, pink roses, romantic couple. Even colorful tissue behind some of the open filigree areas, duplicating a "stained glass" affect. The valentine stands on its own and has 4 tiers or layers. It's possible I've missed something, but I have been over this piece several times and cannot find any damage. The patterns and colors are so busy, however, if I have missed something, it's not easy to see. Marked Printed in Germany. Nice a crisp, folds open very well and holds a taut position.
