SEO164: Handpainted Brooch  This exquisite antique brooch or painted miniature portrait cameo pin has incredible detailing. The image is stunning, with gold gilded accents. Early C clasp in back. Framed in a twisted braid which travels along the setting. Some darkened areas and the pin looks to be silver instead of the rose gold color of the original setting. The best example I have seen painted of this young woman. My research has led me to Queen Louise of Prussia., estimated 1890. Measures 1~3/4" from north to south. I am not certain of the gold content. It could be rose gold or 10 k, however I see no mark, so I am selling as a metal setting.
