SEO318RH: Jade Pendantnew

This is a lovely jade pendant. Estimated circa 1960s from original family. It originates from East Asia. Set in 14 Karat yellow gold, it is marked. It features a beautiful gold fish with an iridescent sheen and the detailed scales of the fish almost look plum colored when turned in the light. I have had a professional jeweler examine this pendant. He has indicated the different colored stones are different coloreds of jade. Green, black, and butterscotch colors. The eye of the fish has a prong set stone that looks pinkish red. The vignette with the fish is framed by an open circular disk that is a paler color of green . I've seen this described as jade or jadeite. The diameter is 1~5/8" across. The pendant weighs 0.5 oz. It comes with a 14" long chain (chain hangs 14" long when worn). The chain is not marked and has no gold content that I am aware of. It's a great length, however, and displays the pendant wonderfully. It also has a vintage look to it. Once again, I do not believe the chain has any gold in it and am just sending it along with the pendant, as it came to me. The pendant is very exotic and appears to be in lovely vintage condition. I sell vintage and antique items with a history; oftentimes items may show wear from a former life. I always try to note any serious condition issues. Please contact me if you have additional questions regarding the condition of the item. Photos are considered part of the description.
