DL0390: German Lace Edging  Vintage cotton featuring an abundance of leaves. Very unique! This antique German lace measures 3/4" wide . It resembles a bobbin lace and is silver with a hint of lavender in the color. It is NOT metallic, but appears to be cotton or a cotton/rayon or possibly cotton/silk blend, although the original card is not marked with textile content. There is some slight overall discoloration--very, very faint and only in some areas. This was acquired by a costumer/collector who accumulated the finest treasure trove of vintage and antique European lace, buttons, appliques and other embellishments over a 9 year period, while living in Holland. During this time, she was able to travel to various parts of Europe to find these beautiful antique and vintage items and trims.
