SEO202: Victorian Sleeves   This listing includes some very elaborate and exquisite lace from a bygone era. There is a pair of embroidered on tulle sleeves and a tulle embroidered remnant which has a three dimensional appearance, with open blossoms scattered across the ivory colored lace. The lace remnant is very fine and lightweight and features a lovely scalloped edge. It is embellished with circular medallion shaped patterns with flowers inside each medallion shape. There are also applied open faced blossoms, whose petals are not stitched to the remnant, creating a three dimensional appearance. There is a seam approximately 14" into the 34" long piece which has separated from the main seam that was originally there. This lace remnant measures 6" wide.
Also included in the listing are two Victorian or Edwardian period sleeves. Very ornate. Tulle which as been heavily embroidered. Each sleeve measures 14~1/2" long. These feature a beautiful pattern of swirls and meandering flowers. I have not laundered these pieces, but they appear to be in good condition. The pattern is so elaborate, I can see not damage, but if there are any flaws they are hidden in the pattern. Please view all my photos. You are purchasing the lace remnant and the pair of sleeves.
