SEO386: Fine Black Lace   This beautiful Victorian remnant of fine lace features flowers and leaves. I cam across the lace, as is. I believe it may have been part of a dress and the length has been stitched up the back , leaving an 11" portion not stitched close. This measures 28" wide and has a lovely scalloped edge. The lace is a very fine net and I have examined this remnant several times and have found no damage or holes, however , my eyes are not what they used to be. If I have missed something, it is hidden well in the busy pattern and very minor. Please recall, this dates from the Victorian era. However, as stated, I found no holes. If one were to cut the seam, one could extend this out to one length which would measure more than 2 yards. I have additional photos, so please email me for those.
