SEO538: Hand Tattingnew

Tatting is a very labor intensive skill and becoming somewhat of a lost art. We were happy to find these beautiful antique remnants, in lovely condition and all handmade. There are three pieces. One piece measures 1~1/4" wide and has open spaces for lace insertion, if desired. There is an 8" length of what appears to be the original silk ribbon in a pale melon color still threaded through this length. The piece has been tatted into a round or a continuous circle. It is 24" with two tiers stacked, so if cut, it would measure approximately 48" long. There is another length which is similar in design, with the open slots for ribbon. It measures 26" stacked, so double that for 52" if cut and placed in a straight line. The last piece is also lace beading, with the open slots for ribbon insertion. It is all hand made and the thread is very narrow and delicate. Really incredible? It is a soft ivory color. The width is approximately 1" wide X 36 inches. I've examined these pieces several times. If there is any damage or repairs, they would be very minor as I have found nothing. Ideal for trimming baby dresses, pillows, doll clothing, etc.
