BT548SO: Iridescent Teal Pearls

We unearthed these discontinued storestock freshwater pearls while searching for vintage notions and jewelry findings at an old warehouse located here in Utah. These are genuine freshwater pearls. Freshwater pearls are pearls from freshwater mussels. They are seldom perfectly round as the common cultured pearl, but have interesting irregular shapes. Like natural and other cultured pearls, freshwater pearls have beautiful color and luster. Freshwater pearls are noted for their wide range of color; they can be found in white, silvery white, pink, salmon, red, copper, bronze, brown, lavender, purple, green, blue, cream, and yellow. These are rich teal with some iridescent qualities, where pink and purple are faintly visible--and are small, making them ideal for earrings and necklaces for antique dolls. These are sold in packages of 12 individual pearls. Please note our scan is magnified, but comparing to the coin in the scan should give you an accurate idea as to the scale of these little beauties.
