DK138: Pull Push Horse  A fabulous turn of the century horse seated upon a wooden platform. Beautiful black horse decorated with original flannel blanket and wool flannel accented saddle. Horse is in excellent condition and appears to be covered with mohair on a over wood or papier mache. Black painted carved wooden hooves. Leather, oilcloth and ribbon tacking with leather medallion in front and by ears. Black ears are leather. Nicely painted red open mouth and nostrils. Black bead eyes. Mane and tail feel like fur and hair. Original red paint on base. Little hole in front to tie a string to in order to pull the horse. Metal wheels. Underside is marked Made in Germany.
The horse and platform stand almost 13" at highest point, platform is 12" long and 4" wide. I would say condition is excellent with very minor wear. This has been in my collection for decades, packed away when we moved to our new area and has remained packed for almost 20 years. Some very minor scratches on platform finish.
