DB4144GC: Boudoir Doll/Smoker

This is an excellent example of a smoking boudoir doll, all original. She dates circa 1920 and has been styled in the Art Deco style. She all original and her condition is quite remarkable. Composition or biskaloid limbs and head, with highly decorated face, all hand painted. An area of discoloration on the inside of one leg and two small flecks to painted surface. Her cigarette is intact and she even has a stylish and very chic beauty mark painted on her cheek, near her eye. Original mohair wig. Her soft body is covered with plum satin and is accented with lacy ruffles. Her costume is completed with a matching bonnet or mop cap. Her condition is lovely, with the exception of a chip off of the heel of one shoe and a small separation at the seam in the back of her satin pajama pants. She stands 23.5" tall and would be an excellent addition to shabby Parisian boudoir, displayed on a bed with lavish lacy pillows, etc. Please click here to view additional magnified photos and click on your BACK button in your browser to return to this page.
