DL0609: Belgium Tapestry   A lovely vintage woven tapestry with Made in Belgium woven on one side. This weighs almost 10 oz on my postal scale. Lovely pastel shades of rose, aqua, butterscotch, cocoa, sage and ivory. Colonial or earlier pastoral scene with couples dancing, playing musical instruments and engaged in conversation. This measures 19" X 38". This was acquired by a collector who accumulated the finest treasure trove of vintage and antique European lace, buttons, appliques and other embellishments over a 9 year period, while living in Holland. During this time, she was able to travel to various parts of Europe to find these beautiful antique and vintage items and trims.
