VC5917GC: French Boudoir Display
This is a rarely found French Boudoir figure or flapper circa 1922-1925. She is all original. Her body features a "twist and turn" waist, where it is jointed and she can be positioned at the waist. Her molded legs are crossed demurely at the ankles. Gold painted shoes with a bit of paint wear to the tips of the shoes. Her arms are jointed at the shoulders, with one arm molded straight, the other bent at the elbow. There is a tiny chip or paint flake off tip on one finger on one hand. Her beautiful exotic face has lavishly painted lashes, slate blue painted eyes, a painted closed mouth in ruby red and her molded, painted hair has been painted brown. Her hair shows paint wear to high points, where it might have been handled a lot. There is paint wear to tip of nose. She measures 14" from tip of head to points of painted slippers. Dressed in her original pink satin dress, she is a perfect addition to a feminine vanity table top, accented with perfume bottles or table top mannequin displays. Very elegant!
