DL0246: Royal Blue/Grosgrain  Vintage old stock, dating from the 1940s era. This grosgrain ribbon is a rich royal blue color and measures 5/8" wide. Fiber content is not identified on the original spool, but when a flame is applied to it, it does leave a hard ball. Possibly nylon or rayon/nylon. Excellent for millinery purposes or for decorating doll hats. This was acquired by a costumer/collector who accumulated the finest treasure trove of vintage and antique European lace, buttons, appliques and other embellishments over a 9 year period, while living in Holland. During this time, she was able to travel to various parts of Europe to find these beautiful antique and vintage items and trims.
