DKA65: Early 1900s Twin Set

Oak framed shadow box with two wedding headpieces or tiaras framed. These pieces have been secured to a pine colored matte. The tiaras are in excellent condition with pearlescent blossoms that are glossy, intertwined with pearl like chubby buds. Paper or cloth leaves, Silk floss covered wired frames. The tops of the tiaras are accented with what we used to refer to as "horsehair" for millinery use, but that term may not be used now. These have been formed to resemble flowers. Each blossom has paper and composition centers. The tops of the tiaras have also been embellished with faux pearl trim on a cotton cord. Also included are two boutonnieres to be worn by the grooms. The twin tiaras have been secured to the matte to form a heart shape. The frame measures 19" X 14~1/2" X 2". The frame unpacked weighs 4 pounds 3 ounces. The back has a wire hanger to mount it on the wall for display purposes. This was purchased from an estate and I was informed the owner was married in the early 1900s.
