SEO679: Veil and Tiara   This is a lovely vintage veil and tiara set and would make a fabulous display on a vanity table, hanging off a French mannequin or it could be worn at a wedding. The veil has an unfinished hem, not a turned hand stitched hem. It is a very mellow off white and the blossoms on the tiara are a luminescent, lustrous cream color with tiny stamen centers. There are two green leaves. There are over 40 blossoms, the average measuring approximately 1~1/2" across, although they do vary slightly, one from another. The flower band has been hand stitched to a rayon or silk covered band, to which the veiling has also been attached. There are a few small areas that look like a very old adhesive, perhaps an old glue, which as turned a copper color. I see this on antique Christmas ornaments and other antique items. Some of these areas may disappear with some Oxyclean, or something similar, and with some care and patience., although they are not noticeable, in my opinion. I have photographed these areas and have enlarged and added contrast to them, through editing, so you can see them. However, in person, they are very minor, in my opinion. I have been collecting wedding items for almost 40 years. I don't see damage to the flowers; if there is any, it is not noticeable.
The band measures (from side, up over top, to other side, approximately 15~1/2". The veil measures 36" long, the blusher slightly shorter.
I am selling the veil and tiara, as if it were the tiara alone. It is unusual to have both. but I know most of my customers are seeking the wax blossoms, so I have priced this set as if it were the tiara alone.
