WD169SO: Champagne Beads & Lace
One of the loveliest wedding veils we've seen--so delicate and feminine and the condition is outstanding. The cap is made of fine lace accented with open areas that are fine net. The whole cap has been beaded here and there with champagne colored teeny tiny beads or faux pearls. I don't see any missing beads, but it would be difficult to tell as they are meant to be splashed over the cap--if there are missing beads, it would be difficult for anyone to see. Each side of the cap is accented with a pretty bunch of wax blossoms and the condition appears to be good on these--I don't see damage. They have maintained an ivory or creamy color. The veil feels like silk, but the condition is so wonderful, it could be a very fine cotton tulle. It is original to the cap and extends 2 yards 20" long. I don't see any damage, any tears or holes. Certainly worthy of display in a museum and appropriate for your wedding, although it is a fragile piece and you will have to be very, very careful.
