WD182GC: Splendid Wedding Display

This exquisite and unusual French display case dates from the 1890s-1900. It has a lovely curved glass front with oval shaped glass on each side, embedded in wooden panels. Part of the back is mirrored, and there is some darkening in a fairly large area. You may be able to see this in some of the photos. The pale aqua silk and rose velvet lining across the back is lovely, as is the rose velvet lining throughout the cabinet. The elaborate metal embellishments around the case are simply exquisite with brass colored and copper colored floral patterns. Some minor waves or slight bends, but very minor. Lovely basket in the center meant to display a bride's wax flower headpiece or tiara. The original back panel (exterior) has something written, possibly in French, but I can't make it out. This measures 12" high X 11" X 6.5" deep. Truly a lovely item. Please view all my photos. Please bear in mind it IS old, and does have wear, but I believe the overall condition is really great.
