This fabulous and rare antique French wax orange blossom flower bride's wedding crown dates from the 1880's. Due to their delicate and fragile nature , these lovely early wax tiaras are becoming difficult to find. This one is an exceptional early piece. A lovely array of wax flowers, in a variety of styles and colors, accented with light green waxy leaves. The delicate blossoms feature tiny stamens and glass beads with bursts of of off white wax buds. The variety of colors gives this tiara an exceptionally lovely, aged appearance, with warm hues of caramel, ivory and cream. Traditionally, orange blossoms were used in bridal fashions as a symbol of virginity and eternity. Crown measures 3 3~4 inches high X 7 inches wide (approx.).
