Jan Uses OXYCLEAN:I spend my summers hunting antique
fabrics and laces, embroidery, tatting and ribbons in England and France.
To clean old lace and trims (with the exception of very fragile
non-colorfast silk) OXYCLEAN is the best invention in the world! It
literally bubbles out the dirt, leaving 100 year old laces as beautiful as
the day they were made! I have used it on everything with terrific success!
I know I sound like a commercial, but try it! I think you will be
delighted! I have been using it for years, when I paid twenty dollars for
it on infomercials! Now I can get get it in the grocery store, Target,
Walmart, etc, for $2.99! But even in the days of $20 a tub, it was worth
every penny. Things I cleaned four years ago are as strong as they were
when I bought them, so apparently there is no "down the road dammage" to
even the finest French laces treated this way.
