Victorian Easter Eggs for Easter Tree
Idea Contributed by Donna B.

Eggs Materials:

  • Wallpaper scraps, old cards, antique lithographed scraps, scrapbook pages, etc.
  • vintage ribbon and vintage lace
  • sewing machine
  • polyester fiberfill

  • Print out our egg pattern. Place pattern on top of the wallpaper remnant which has been folded in half, cutting along the solid black line or even a little bit around the outside. You'll end up with two egg shapes. Place wrong sides together. Cut a length of lace or ribbon about 7" long and fold it over. Place raw edges of lace at the top of the egg, inbetween the two layers. Slip a little fiberfill into the egg and machine stitch all the way around, making cetain you have stitched the lace loop securely into place. You might want to add millinery flower bits, lace medallions, even old buttons or rhinestones to the eggs. Check out our buttons, lace and millinery pages for ideas! These would be lovely hanging on a feather tree!
